Rock mass classification for design of excavation method and support system of tunnel 1 Sigli-Aceh toll road, Indonesia

چکیده

This paper presents an empirical design of the excavation method and support system tunnel 1 Sigli-Aceh toll road, Indonesia, based on rock mass quality Rock Mass Rating (RMR) Japan Society Civil Engineers (JSCE). The results showed that route consisted fair to good calcarenite interlayered by sandstone D II C categories RMR JSCE. Based RMR, recommended for section having is full-face, top heading bench methods. a bolt with length 3 - 4 m, spacing 1.5-2.5 shotcrete thickness 5 10 cm. Meanwhile, JSCE classification DII CII cut, full-face methods auxiliary cut. 1.2 20 cm, steel ribs H-125 -H-150, 1-1.2 lining 30 cm wall 40 50 floor.
